About Us...

We are Emma and Jill, teachers and founders of Scode. 

We have a combined teaching experience of over 40 years in both primary and secondary education. As a team, we have specialisms in all aspects of literacy, SEND, dyslexia, and PSHE. Three years ago, we launched our award-winning Primary Scode Spelling, and we are immensely proud of the impact that this scheme is having for our colleagues and the children in their classrooms.

We are passionate about making all children word-rich, as we understand the impact that this has in all aspects of their lives.

In creating Scode Vocabulary, we wanted to give staff and students an engaging and effective scheme—a scheme that builds skills, encourages a fascination with language, and enhances cultural capital.
